Development Engineer
JM Harwood seeks a full-time engineer for the design, analysis, and test of innovative power and propulsion systems and technologies. The current focus is high performance, small heavy fuel engines (reciprocating piston) and related technology for Unmanned Ariel Vehicles (UAV).
BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required. MS is preferred. Strong background in thermodynamics and fluid dynamics is a must. Ability to conduct mechanical design, structural analysis, and test is also desired. Versatility and the ability to wear multiple “hats” is a must. Candidate must be a self starter and can work independently.

Director of Business Development
JM Harwood seeks a part-time Director of Business Development, with a goal of transitioning this to a full-time position as the company grows. Ideal candidate would be a full-time employee who can split the responsibilities of the Development Engineer listed above with the responsibilities of the Director of Business Development. The Director of Business Development will be the primary interface to the customer. Both MBA and technical background is required. A minimum of 10 years experience is desired.
Ideal candidate must have exceptional people skills. The candidate must understand the differences between government and commercial customers and adapt as appropriate. The ability to communicate complex technical subjects clearly and concisely is a must. Ability to find commercial applications for technologies originally developed for DoD applications is a must. As part of the company’s management team, the Director of Business Development is expected to set an example through both their work ethic and conduct.

Technician
JM Harwood seeks both full and part-time technicians for testing innovative engines and power systems. Must be able to set-up data acquisition systems and configure instrumentation. Must be able to assemble and disassemble a variety of mechanical and electrical devices.
